Customers using our math software asked that we deliver critical reading skills programs. Educating today's students in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving, values, good character, and decision making is more important than ever as they move into the technological age of everyday living. We have answered that request with three "Reading Comprehension and Critical Thinking" software programs, so that students may learn thinking skills while practicing reading comprehension strategies. Students may now enjoy our interactive reading and critical thinking software programs. Each reading software section can be printed and used as reading comprehension worksheets to reinforce the reading skills and critical thinking exercises in the software program or to be used as stand-alone classroom or homework assignments.
Level 1 of this reading software series provides early readers and those students learning the nuances of the English language arts with crtiical thinking, word meanings, and beginning reading comprehension. Our critical reading skills programs continue with level 2 of this reading software series is for intermediate reading students. The reading comprehension activities and critical thinking skills for Level 2 and Level 3 are listed below. All programs in this reading software series provide the opportunity to print the reading comprehension worksheets. These reading software programs have so much variety that students are eager to move from section to section. In these reading programs, students will learn to analyze via reading and thinking while learning language arts skills. Students will read, comprehend, and develop critical thinking skills while answering questions. There is much talk in Washington about providing our students with 21st-century skills, such as problem solving and critical thinking - these programs are part of that learning process for grades K-8 and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
Since most customers who are interested in elearning also ask if we have reading software, we have published three programs in our "Reading and Cricital Thinking" Series. Students practice reading and grammar while engrossed in thinking and analyzing various verbal situations. The intricacies of the English language are presented in twenty 20-minute interactive snippets. Reading is the vehicle for thinking. Students know the correct answer immediately and how well they scored before leaving EACH question. A total score is tabulated and stored for each section completed by the student.
